Wizzard Metal Products Tripod Jacks

I just bought a set of four of these old tripod jacks. The company that made them was Wizzard Metal Products (spelled with two Z's, not a typo there), out of Tacoma WA.

Anybody who knows anything about these jacks or this company, I'd be interested.

I paid 2K for my camper, and am trying not to spend more than that on Jacks, but the jacks on it are not long enough, one of them (right rear) is mounted on a corner that was damaged and repaired.

Any info at all about this style of tripod of jack I'll be interested.

Thanks!

  • I've had these too. It was all the three of them could do to hold up my full fiberglass hard top for my Scrambler. It weighed about 450 pounds with lots of glass. Stability and control do not come to mind.
    Take care.

  • If that's the case, I may end up using them in addition to the happijacs, particularly on the right-rear.
  • I had that type of jack on my mini truck camper, pretty scary, I wouldn't want to do a larger camper with them
  • You can still buy these jacks new from CR Brophy. I've seen a few other brands out there, but I haven't found anyone else selling new stuff.

I picked up a pair to bring my camper home (it was damaged similar to yours) but don't use them anymore, now that I've fixed my jacks. I was always afraid of the camper shifting and falling off of them.
