Sorry should have been more specific again. I don't want a dually but I am going with the 6.4L engine. Ideally this TC would be best served by a diesel, dually, and long bed but I'm trying to keep the whole rig on the smaller side while hoping the large engine keeps the rig out of dog town.
I'm estimating the fully loaded TC to be 3500lbs, like towpro has confirmed. And I'll be hauling a 3500lb boat with a 350lb tongue weight. Even with this huge truck I expect to be close to its limits.
Footloose is right that Northwoods brochure shows the 840 mounted on an F-150. After lurking here for years I know better than to even think about doing that. In fact its been the folks on here that made me realize a 2500 isn't up to the task without mods that you may as well pay for up front by buying a larger truck.
