Since you are new to this I wanted to address a nit. Several earlier posts mention a "larger" truck. IMHO it would have been more correct to use "heavy duty" or something similar.
Larger implies the truck will be bigger (longer, wider, etc) than your current F-150. That is not necessarily the case. Similarly configured half ton and "heavy duty" trucks will be about the same size with only insignificant external differences if any. All the good stuff is hidden under the sheet metal. Obviously duallys are different.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I think that GM and RAM use the exact same cab layout for a given configuration. Fords use a different cab but I think I remember reading they are moving toward a common cab also.
