About to purchase my first Hardside truck camper the Wolf Creek 850 but am not sure weather to go with the dinette or roll-over sofa. Am interested in hering pros and cons for each. Hopefully there are a few 850 owners on here! Oh, and yes I'm new to RV.net this would be my first post!

The WC 850 has been a great, light weight camper for us. To answer your question, I have the dinette and prefer it because of the storage. The roll-over I hear is more comfortable to sleep on, though, so I guess it depends on your priorities. Storage or sleep comfort?Are you getting a short-bed or long-bed version?

Mello Mike - planning the shortbed version for the outside storage. Great blog by-the-way.....Northwood should give you some advertising credit! I have found it difficult to get details on various options so have looked every where I can online for photos and videos.....your video is one of five that helped me choose the 850. Comfort of the roll-over sofa will probably win-out since it will most likely be an adult that sleeps there on occasion. Storage I think the 850 should get an award for best in class!

Still debating other storage options (extra ward in cabover and the new bumper). Heard from a dealer today that other campers with the roll-over sofa have been hard to sell.....mainly because of how they installed them in an elevated position (another mfg. apparently). As an 850 owner with a dinette do you find any difficulty accessing the curbside truck bed thru the door under the fridge.?

We considered the sofa layout but really didnt want to loose the storage that the dinette offers. Northwood really doesnt promote the sofa option, which somewhat baffles me, since so many seem to like the option. My dealer knew about it but it was never shown in their brochure back in 2010.
For those that have the dinette and dont want to do a complete removal, an alteration of what you have (dinette) might be something to consider. Also gives us a great place to store the dirty clothes basket. This is what I did:

We travel using just the U shaped couch set up and store the table under the bed mattress. When we need the table we can set it up in a few seconds. We can also convert it to a full dinette if need be.

We bought our 2013 Wolf Creek 850 in August and just love it. We've got the Micro, and oven, but no generator or A/C. We also have the Fox Landing and my wife, especially, loves it. WE use a 34 inch hitch extension and the Fox Landing is usable with the trailer hooked up. WE got the dinette, but did not know a sofa was an option. Be nice to see some pictures. Sure like all the storage.

I really like the Wolf Creek 840. With it's front bath the whole rear of the camper wide open and seems so much more spacious and lots of good views with all the windows and no bathroom obstructing the rear corner. I've always wanted a camper with a front bath.

No complaints from the one person that has had a chance to actually sleep on it! It has fairly thick cushioning at about 5" thick I'd say. I have not slept on it myself but find it very comfortable to sit/recline on.

I've debated a sofa in mine but the wife and I like to play dominos and board games so that makes it a little awkward.

That's a nice sofa :) I'd rather have that than a dinette. Dinettes are so confining.

The foot print of the base it 75.5" long (wide) with a depth of 28.5".

What are the dimensions of the sofa? Wife and I are thinking about removing the dinette in our Lance 1050S and installing a sofa with table, much like that last picture.
