- Sparky87k5ExplorerWhen I bought my Eagle Cap 850 it had the roll over couch. We didn't like it for eating at because as we sat at the table we had our backs to the window and out view was of the bathroom wall. I removed the couch and built in a dinette for 2 and now we have a nice view as we eat. It also makes a comfortable place to sit while using the laptop. The couch wasn't all the comfortable to sit at when using the table IMHO. The rollover couch does make a nicer bed and is comfortable.
- RZAR66ExplorerThe Wolf Creek is a very nice camper. We almost bought one.

After trying to convince myself to go with a used lance 815 or a 845 I came back to the Wolf Creek 850 and actually pulled the trigger. Rumor has it that my camper will be the first 2014....and if the changes on the Northwood Mfg website are any indication she should be a beauty!!! 6 to 7 weeks the countdown has begun! Oh and to wrap up this thread I did order the sofa option. I guess it may be appropriate to start a new thread with photos when it is finally here?!!
I, too, looked hard at a Lance 845, but went with the WC 850. What options did you decide on? - More2ExploreExplorerAfter trying to convince myself to go with a used lance 815 or a 845 I came back to the Wolf Creek 850 and actually pulled the trigger. - KD4UPLExplorerI don't have that camper but I do have a roll over sofa. I love it. I think it's much better than a dinette. When I remove the table the floor space is more open. It's nice to be able to stretch out on the sofa or sit there with the wife and read or whatever.
We don't usually eat in the camper (picnic tables) so we don't really need a dinette as such. - Mello_MikeExplorer

No, to all three. Want to maximize storage and minimize the weight. Still debating other storage options (extra ward in cabover and the new bumper). Heard from a dealer today that other campers with the roll-over sofa have been hard to sell.....mainly because of how they installed them in an elevated position (another mfg. apparently).
As an 850 owner with a dinette do you find any difficulty accessing the curbside truck bed thru the door under the fridge.?
No problem at all accessing the curbside truck bed. As for the other options you're considering I would definately get the extra ward and the new bumper with the fox landing. If you can, I would also get a rear ladder. - kerry4951ExplorerExplorer
I dont have a Wolf Creek, but I do have a Northwood Arctic Fox with the full wall cabover wardrobe. The cabinet itself really doesnt add that much more weight. All you are really adding is the cabinet area where the window would be. Plus you are doing away with the window, so you are saving on that part of the weight. It would not surprise me if there was no to little difference in the weight from the standard cabover cabinetry to the full wardrobe. Where you will pick up the extra weight is dependent on how much stuff you throw into that wardrobe. We love ours, and I dont really miss the extra window. And with one less window our cabover is very quiet. - More2ExploreExplorer

Mello Mike - planning the shortbed version for the outside storage. Great blog by-the-way.....Northwood should give you some advertising credit! I have found it difficult to get details on various options so have looked every where I can online for photos and videos.....your video is one of five that helped me choose the 850. Comfort of the roll-over sofa will probably win-out since it will most likely be an adult that sleeps there on occasion. Storage I think the 850 should get an award for best in class!
Thanks for the compliments. I have to agree about the storage. This camper is loaded with it if you get the right options. Are you getting an oven and microwave with yours? How about the Onan generator?
