This product (small trailer) is not where the profit is or is a small market segment.
What I see on this Forum is that Mom and Dad start shopping for a TT and by the time they're half way into shopping, there is a whole list of must-haves. The list pushes the floorplan and dimensions out until the list is completed.
Sometimes, this is true even if the shopper has a tow vehicle incapable of pulling the load. I know, Dan, this isn't your situation as, from what I can see, you and the Missus like to see the outer reaches of nature. That would mean a light, nimble trailer. There are some out there and I'd venture the smaller ones are built with more care.
The Livinlite trailers seemed, to me, to be of above average construction. They cost a bit more, too, but are a good fit for those that need light weight and durability.
Maybe, a custom trailer could be in your future? With smaller size, a conventional enclosed trailer wouldn't be difficult to modify to RV livability. There are also custom builders that schedule from the frame upward.
