Wood blocks are waaaayyyy too heavy. Use plastic (prefer the yellow flat top ones) for all jacks. Never ever clean them, the different dirts on them bring back memories of places we've camped. they'd just get dirty again anyhow. No way I'd ever put them in a tote or their original bag, way too much hassle to get them out.
Except for the fact I do occasionally clean my plastic leveling blocks I agree completely - wood is WAY too heavy, yet despite this I notice many still use wood for leveling and for use under stabs. :h The 4X wood stack I've been using under my tongue jack is one of 3 I use when parking at home on my sloped driveway ... I do so because plastic blocks exposed to the sun day after day
will eventually deteriorate so in this case wood
is better. Out of habit I've been taking just the 4X stack along when camping, leaving the other two in the garage, but I've got plenty of Lynx so I think this season I'll leave that 4X at home as well and instead use Lynx under the tongue jack when camping. Less = More. :B
