Very satisfied with the truck and its ability to tow the weight in the mountains of the west. Mileage is 18 highway empty, 15 in town and 11-12 towing, so again, satisfied with those numbers. We did get the optional 20" wheels and had the level/lift kit installed by the dealer. Our payload is just under 2K and towing capacity is 10.4K, more than ample for our 10K towing. I use Tow/Haul mode when towing and it stays in 5th most of the time with a normal RPM of 18-2400, at highway speed. During a normal(4%-5%) climb, it goes up to around 28-3000, and if the grade is steep(7%) around here, then it will climb to 3600 but still maintain speed. It has a built in engine brake in Tow/Haul mode and what ever speed you have set on the cruise is the speed maintained down the grades. They come with a factory installed brake controller and the ride is very nice. DJ, a member here, has seen it with 1500# setting in the bed and can vouch that the truck sets level with that weight. IMO, the GM 6.2L max tow is an awesome combination.
