Just traded in a 5500# travel trailer for an 8000# fifth wheel. My 2012 6.2 F250 didn't know the difference between the two. Same gas mileage averages both ways. (8.2 - 8.5) Went through some significant climbs in the laurel highlands without any issues. FWIW - just traded in a 2010 Silverado 2500 6.0. Both trucks ride and run different, but both very capable.
