Hi folks, At the risk of starting another flame war, or diesel vs gas thread ... I'd like to hear from people who actually own and tow with these trucks. No I'm not selling my 7.3 anytime soon but...

Dave, I wouldn't look at it that way.
Other threads have indicated that mileage isn't all that different going from 3.73 to 4.30. And the factory specs show that the tow weight for a 5th wheel go from 12.4K to 15.4K with that axle ratio. Who knows how one's tow needs might change in the next few years?
I saw a 5th wheel I just loved a year ago, that 4.3 is rated to pull but mine cannot. So it put the brakes on any next step, as I'm not going to take the hit on trading off a one year old truck.
On the more optimistic note, I guess my 3.73 saved me a bunch of money! :@
