Good call on waiting. I have no problem towing in the snow, but the the deicer and rocks they spray on the roads out here do a number to the frame of a trailer. During the two short trips I took in the snow one year, the rocks blasted the paint right off and the deicer caused surface rust almost immediately. The driving part was easy; it was the scraping and repainting part the following spring that was a major hassle.
If I ever do it again, I'll definitely be investing in some heavy duty mudflaps for the truck AND the trailer.
