I don't understand the point of this thread? Time Value of Money is easily computed by every spreadsheet. $40k, $60k, 1.5% interest, 10%, 3 years, 7 years. Some people put large down payments or pay cash. Some people finance it all. Some people make $250k per year and budget by payment. Some people make $50k per year and budget by net worth.
No one needs to judge anyone about how much or little they spend per month on a TV payment. I know my budget and that's all that matters. Each person should learn and stick with their own.
