Wow! I'm learning a lot.

So, I'm pretty much in over my head. But, I will continue. Way more water damage than I could have imagined. I'm replacing supports and have had to lift the rear end because it sagged due to the rotten wood. Lots of staples coming out, thinking of using metal tape on inside to help reinforce where they have been removed(aka-fallen out). Most of the floor is getting replaced. I'll try to get some pictures up.
I read about vapor barriers. Thinking I should do this, lots of little holes in the old floor membrane. Can I put plastic on the rubber floor membrane then add Floor joists and foam board insulation or should plastic go on top of floor joists? Does this make sense?
And another question? I believe that there is mold on some wood that is still strong. Do I just spray with bleach water and that will kill it, or should I do more extensive cleaning. I really want to keep some of these boards because a lot has come out already.
BTW, I am handy but not professional tradesman.

    I use 3/4"x1/8" for everything. If I need it thicker or wider I add to it.

    Keep at it...it'll all start going back together soon enough. Every time I started one problem I found a new one, so I kept digging until I couldn't find more issues. That meant new roof, walls, joists, rafters, etc. It was all worth it though.

    How do I know what thickness of butyl tape to use? Windows? Corner seams under corner molding? Making progress slowly now that the weather allows for working outside again.

    About the vapor barriers: In an RV there lies some controversy about the location and effectiveness of vapor barriers. One school of thought is that it traps vapor within the walls so should be avoided. Another school is that it should be used to keep moisture from wicking into the wooden frame and cavities. I went to the latter school. If you've ever remodeled older houses or tried to paint the exterior of an old house, the importance of vapor barriers becomes evident.

    For my Starcraft, I installed a complete vapor barrier, edges taped and as little penetrations as possible. I even installed a 1/4" fan-fold foam board across the studs. All of it adds up to a trailer that is comfortable and very quiet inside. For the floors, I skipped the vapor barrier because I have a clad under-belly of aluminum and I installed laminate flooring with an underlayment. The underlayment acts as a vapor barrier. It is made from recycled tires, I was told.

    The bottom line with a trailer made with aluminum siding is add insulation, seal with a vapor barrier, and make everything as sealed and tight as possible. You will be rewarded down the road with the comfort.

    Cool little camper BTW. I'm betting that big-ol AC unit on the top isn't stock, so it most likely is cool - really cool!

    No it REALLY works. Nothing like bleach. It's called Mold Armor.
    It actually 'prevents' it from coming back. And it removes it in a heartbeat. And is bleach free.

    I just bought a winter house in Florida. The FIRST thing you learn about is where to buy Mold Armor.

    They try to sell you 2 different bottles. One is labeled a cleaner and the other a protector. But if you read the bottle you only really need to buy just the one.

    THIS is the one to buy.
