Well we're going to try everything we can to keep the Jay Flight as we just all love it. The 26BH is the perfect floorplan for us and is nicer than staying in a hotel.
Wife does hate pop ups due to setup, lack of storage, and having to bend down for everything to cook. BUT if nice enough, would make the change.
BTW, my truck was pretty reasonable. You can buy a truck that's outrageously priced but if you do your homework, you can get a reasonably priced truck if you don't try to make it a Lincoln in options and features. I got about $11,000 off of MSRP with both F150s I bought bringing the price near to what my 2008 Sport Trac was. The latest is loaded but doesn't have a lot of fluff that the higher end models have.
As far as build quality, I've found every pop up to be inferior to my Jay Flight and thats with all of them. BUT the Jay Flight is built like a tank.
Not a fan of the Jaycos because of 1 major thing. They're seating areas are shorter due to having the galley fold over on them. I feel like I'm sitting in my 2 year olds toy chair with my knees up to my chest. My Rockwood and Starcraft pop ups had normal height sitting areas. I don't know why Jayco thinks it's okay to have such short seating areas.
Starcraft now is made by Jayco with just different floorplans and Aqualon tenting that leaked badly on our 2007 so it's a no go there as well.
Forest River is the only maker left, that's sold within any dealer. Never seen a Somerset dealer ANYWHERE up to 2 hours away.
While Palomino and Clipper/Viking are now Forest River, I'm hoping their quality hasn't dropped to what my Rockwood's quality was. Clipper/Viking looks nice but still the storage down side and not sure how much i trust cables to hold up the bunkends instead of the tradional poles to the frame.
Think we'll just find a home that has a place for the Jay Flight, otherwise it might be back to tents for all camping.
