When someone says that (fill in the blank) is a ripoff, it means that they don't see the value being equal to the price. I currently own a Coleman Sun Valley and feel like we paid a fair price for our pop-up We could have purchased a TT for the same price, but the pop-up best suited our needs at the time we made our purchase. I love the fact that we could keep it in our garage, carry 4 bikes and a canoe on the roof, and have plenty of space when the trailer was fully opened. We have made plenty of camping trips throughout the northwest and I have even taken it to Burning Man 4 times.
Now that we are close to becoming empty nesters, we are looking at a hard-sided trailers in anticipation of some serious road trips. I scout the RV section of Craigslist on a regular basis, and see plenty of bargains with pop-ups and hard-sided trailers. Some folk confuse price with value. Cheap things are seldom good and good things are seldom cheap.
