There are three reasons my wife and I bought a TT, convenience, convenience and convenience. This includes all the things you mentioned and also acceptance the cost of repairs, maintenance and gas.
For the type of travel we wish to do now, our pop-up would no longer be suitable.
Still, my pop-up is paid for and when I want to park in the back of a muddy field and hunt or fish with the grandkids or it is just me solo, the pop-up still has its place.
