Apparently people wouldn't know a good deal if it slapped them in the face. In your example, if true cost was $100.00 and the item had a 150% markup, retail price would be $250.00. Offer a 75% discount, sale price would be $62.50, which is $37.50 BELOW cost. Not a bad deal. It really does pay to have stayed awake during math class.
