Ill keep using both, the chock and the x-tend but I will have more confidence. My driveway isnt flat and I can barely sleep since I've parked the trailer ... :-)
In re-reading this discussion I just noticed you mentioned your
"driveway isn't flat" ... surely you're not using X-Chocks to secure your trailer when it's parked on your driveway? :E As already mentioned several times in this thread X-Chocks aren't intended to actually chock a trailer to prevent it from inadvertently shifting but rather to cut down on any suspension wiggle when one walks around inside the camper. Secondly, I wouldn't even rely on wheel chocks alone to secure any trailer on a sloped driveway but there is an easy solution that absolutely will prevent your trailer from shifting ... use the weight of the trailer bearing down on a set of wheel pads to which wheel chocks have been secured.
Driveway Wheel Pad ChocksMy driveway slopes so much down to the street that when the trailer is sitting level the rear bumper is less than a foot above the driveway while the tongue is closer to 3'. I always secure the trailer with these wheel pads shown above and no way is that trailer ever going anywhere, short of an earthquake. :B
