We have a 2400is (not hc) that will not start the 13.5k a/c unit. However, the a/c unit is 20 years old and the compressor may be tight. Also the Yammie is the very first year they came out. As far as fuel usage (expense) it will run a 10k window unit at our cabin for over 8 hours on one tank of gas. And that is running 100% on the a/c not cycling on and off (large area + lack of insulation + only using the a/c on the hottest days). That's less than $1/hr at 4 bucks a gallon.
