I just got back from camping with the cub scouts at Fort Frederick park in md . Left my perfectly good camper in the driveway and grabbed the tent . Right next to the youth group camping area they had basic campsited , no water,no sewer , and no electric. But there was a hybrid trailer there with a champion generator . As we hiked by I could hear it running , it wasnt loud at all, we were about 30 feet away and he had the exhaust facing the woods.I wouldnt consider it anoying at all . The trains that ran near by were much louder . ( especially at 3 am. ) I talked with the ranger and generators are allowed in Md state parks from 8 am till 9 or 10 pm .
