Hesitant to comment as I'm impressed with the getting it done progress your making but question the right angle gravity fresh fill hose. It looks like its going to be painfully slow to fill tank? Replacement trough type are still available https://www.amazon.com/s?k=B00C88B1X2 though style with screw on cap/hatch lid helps keep clean. Also allows insertion of short hose into fill hose to take water quicker. but you'd need a straight shot on fill hose...
