Screwtape take a look at the post I made about the Torklifts. There are photos of what happens with the sheet metal https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/28392457.cfm
We stand ready to help with any of the issues you might encounter. Garry6 and Ticki2 were on the first page of this string, I think, and are still here after all this time. There are many very knowledgeable folks that are generous with their time.
Yikes! Thanks for the heads up, I'll endeavor to upgrade when budget allows but that might not be for a while. I'm really glad you guys are on here an willing to help, the Internet is a great thing!
Also, I'll get some pics of everything in the near future. The inside has some updating done by the previous owner and some by me, its in decent usable condition but not the original gem I wish it were. There is a bit of rot in one wing but no leaks so hopefully it stays stable enough to not need fixing for a while. Time will tell.
My two main concerns at the moment are maintenance of the fridge and a slight cosmetic issue on the interior where the original paint is failing. Paint is easy but the fridge is a mystery to me. I'm just glad it's working!
Also, the running lights are non functional. The tail lights didn't work either but those were easy enough to rewire. I'm not looking forward to fixing these but I do have a solid plan of attack.
On a more enjoyable note, out little trip was around the finger lakes area and a day in Cooperstown, my girlfriends old stomping ground. Its more beautiful out there than I imagined.
