Dennis and others, the answer is that I'm reconsidering adapting Argo, the all aluminum C11, to fit on a flat bed-type truck chassis base so that I can cut away the back of the cab and move from the cab into the camper, if one is a dog or the mom of a dog...Annie is determined to get access front to back. And I'm just her humble servant...
The only 4WD Class C campers out there are Tigers, which are very pricey. It might be a fairly straightforward deal to permanently attach Argo to the truck, minus the truck bed, and then open it up. And 69 pointed out that one doesn't need to remove the framework for the wings. They create excellent storage as is. The dinette would have to be reconfigured fore and aft, which would mean a bit of frame adjustment, but what the heck...keeps me off the streets.
Be flexible, I keep telling myself.
