D1 how big a portal are you intending to make? A small passthrough
would serve most dogs (and kids) easily. It would seem an
adult is going to be crawling wiggling or both no matter what
size you cut the bulkhead. Unless you cut through the loft or
jackup the whole rig considerably. I am crazy about my portal,
but I am sure your thinking BIG.
