Cajun, my proposed opening is 24" wide by 36" high. Set slightly off-center to the passenger side, to accommodate the dinette that will be on the driver's side and next to the big windows on the left side of the camper. We will sit facing each other fore and aft on that left side. I haven't decided how wide to make the dinette yet. Probably should be at least 32", a twin bed width. At 36", it would seat 4 diners more comfortably. As for uses, it will allow dogs and people to access the camper while enroute and make things ever so much more sociable...
