From bottom of floor to top of chimney stack is 7'-2" . U-haul has a 5' x8' open trailer that would probably work with some concrete blocks up front to give it some tongue weight . You will have to measure one to check the overall width , also check the rail height .
PS A '72 GMC 2500 with 15" wheels doesn't sound right , it should have 16"
