Cajun, I pulled a 20' river going, 8'6" beam jonboat behind the Avion using a 36" extension hitch. I never had a problem. I think I might have been well served to use a Torklift hitch, but I never got around to it. We sold the jonboat last year and plan on getting some sort of sailing Hobie Kayak. We still use the hitch to pull the Samurai.
