I received a text in the middle of last night from Avionista David Sutherland (Rastaman)who said that the hurricane had passed directly through Lake City, Florida, where his country place is located. It's also the spot that we planned to hold the First Worldwide Avionista Gathering this Halloween (If I can drum up enough interest).
My main concern, of course, was with their well being. He reported that they were fine in Tampa near where the storm went ashore. He had talked to neighbors in Lake City and they are not reporting a lot of damage, thank goodness. But, it may be a while until David can assess damage. He reports that it is still windy and raining in the area.
I'll send along reports...maybe David will as well.
