I've followed the directions, including removing the pin, but the leg assembly won't budge from the outer tube housing.
I've tried hammering on the center shaft, on the square metal piece that's visible 3.5 inches from the tube top, and on the foot of the leg assembly as the whole jack is hanging from the camper mount.
The reason I'm looking to re-lubricate the jack screw is that it turns very stiffly while making a grinding, squealing noise. With the jack off the camper I hear what sounds like sand (metal particles?) as I tip the jack upside down.
I've also tried the suggestion to use a spray white grease from the top instead of trying to get the leg assembly out, but the grease does not appear to flow into the screw assembly below the metal plate.
I appreciate any other suggestions you guys can make.
