Those of you taughting getting a diesel due to better mileage and longer service intervals:
1. Consider how long payback will take to recover the purchase cost.
2. 15k mile service intervals are still timed at 12 month or 6 month durations. Unless you are a high mileage driver, service will time out before hitting 15k.
Although I own a diesel, I don't think it's the right tool for every job nor do I feel there is that much savings in one unless you do high mileage or keep it for a long duration. If it wasn't for my 24k lb GCW and 4K ft climb outside my driveway, I may have been driving a gasser.
