cjweener,
I'm sure you've seen this 2015 RAM 2500-3500 Brochure but here it is for your use in decision making. I quick search will pull up torque and horsepower curves for the 6.4L and 6.7L engines as well. They are surprisingly close in RPM when the torque peaks but the diesel has a huge edge in how much torque is delivered.
I'm going through the same thought processes and these are the questions I ask myself:
1. Do I spend less money initially and expect more depreciation with a Hemi?
2. Do I need the benefit of the diesel's mountain pass eating torque and engine braking on downgrades or can I stand slower climbs with the big V8 screaming sometimes?
3. Will I keep it for 250,000 miles or so?
4. Do I drive relatively long distances daily?
Diesels are haulers for sure but big gassers are beginning to give them competition in my opinion. Of course others' opinions will vary. That's why this is a forum not an answer desk. ;)
