Depends what the balance of needs for your truck is.
Short bed=not ideal for truck campers. Long bed = more cumbersome in the city, parking, etc and no mega can unless you spend big bucks.
I'd love a long bed mega dually for the few weeks a year the camper is on and the rest of the year it would be overkill, and s uck.
You can haul a decent camper on a mega.
Gas vs diesel is another discussion.
