Thanks for all the advise for Alaska trip. We've done the highway a few times but always on a schedule. Now that everyday is a Saturday (how do you say retired?) we'll take our time. Should be a whole different experience.
Waxed the camper and both trucks today. Forgot just how much surface area there is on a even a small SquireLite camper :-( Yes, everything will get dirty on the trip, but at least we'll start with a clean rig!
Also tried a tip we got from another RV newsgroup. The rubber trim around two windows on the camper was still flexible but shrunk some. Pulled the rubber trim out, boiled it in water with a little vegetable oil for 3 minutes. Stretched rubber trim as it cooled. Fit back in perfectly with no gaps. The person on the other newsgroup said this was an old auto body shop trick! We'll see if it stays or quickly shrinks back.
Mine also shrunk a bit, I will try this trick, Thanks.
