Modification: Took control of how the basement fan works on the Arctic Fox (the camper I love to hate).
Normal operation: When the furnace heater turns on, power is simultaneously sent to the basement fan. Warmed air is thus circulated into the basement.
The bad: When hooked up to shore power and using an electric heater, or catalytic heater, there is no ability to turn on the basement fan to heat the freezing basement.
Solution: Install an automotive on/off switch in series with a diode to manually provide power to the basement fan when the furnace is off.
----------
Ideally, the manufacturer should build a camper heating system to operate in this manner. Additionally, a thermostatic switch could be physically located in the basement and wired in series with the manual switch.
