Just did a job I've been putting off for some time now. Replaced both the black and gray water dump valves in our Lance SquireLite 165 camper and installed a new flush valve in the Thetford Aqua IV commode. Got 16 years of service from all of the original valves so can't really complain. The commode had a small leak from the valve when connected to city water (even with a water pressure regulator).
With the commode out it was a simple job to flush the black water tank and successfully remove "deposits" and TP from the sensors so the gauge now reports correctly (at least for now). Thank goodness for stubby wrenches and lots of patience, because at 6 FT and 225 # there's not much room in the restroom. Rubber gloves, face mask, and eye protection were also critical to a safe job.
