After all my personal brain damage hashing out my options over and over again I made the jump to a 19.5 tires and wheels set up. I’ve known I was running at the weight limit for a few years with my stock 245/75R16LT setup but I never had an issue.
After looking all over for wheels that would properly accommodate a 285/70R16LT tire and rated at the same 3750 lbs, I gave up.
I found a great deal on this set up from a gentleman that went thru the same tire dilemma and then sold the slide in and went to a class a diesel pusher.
I had them out on the highway today, very smooth and stable with a very little bit of the high pitched semi truck tire sing. Vision Heavy Hauler wheels and 245/70R19.5 Sumitomo ST918 tires, I just had them Saf-Tee siped for better ice traction.
