Those are the tops mods I want to do but unfortunately no other toilet will fit my Lance 1172.
How hard was it to do the flooring? Cost?
The flooring was about $100. The new oak base (I used screen stop) was another 20 bucks or so. The interlocking plank flooring is easy to install, just take your time and make sure that all ends/sides are fully snapped/locked in place. I used a pice of scrap to tap the planks in to each other. It also helps to layout the flooring before install to make sure that you don't end up with a tiny rip of flooring at the side that you finish. Sometimes it's better to start with less than full width so you end with a decent size piece for aesthetics. Also try not to have all your first row pieces be of a different length so no joints match. Also helpful to layout all your new pics out of the boxes and vary the colors more randomly than they are packaged.
I was concerned that the toilet might not fit because the rough in hole is closer to the back wall than the spec range I read online but it just made it with 1/4" or so clearance from the back of the toilet to the wall. Also had to go the rv store and buy a 90 degree flair fitting as the water line that used to run up to top of the Thetford toilet now entered the bottom of the Dometic.
