- RaftenExplorerEarlier in this thread I said I was getting my utility trailer ready for a hoped for long mid winter trip to the desert. While I am as slow as a snail here is what I have done so far. This trailer is about 30 years old and I built it strong. About time I renewed it a bit. Sandblasted, primed, and painted, about ready to work on the stake sides. New floor already made and ready to bolt in.

- silversandExplorer....we sent it to an indoor heated spa for the winter (along with the mint-condition 2004 truck), where it/they won't have to endure 6 months of 800+ LBS of ice buildup on its roof and an onslaught of brutally destructive rodents-- thereby perhaps tripling its/their lifespan (without expending even a single minute in sweat equity nor expensive RV replacement parts) :B
- mountainkowboyExplorerStarted sealing the roof up with Dicor, pulled the cargobox off the top, it was cracked and broken. I need to start looking for a replacement.
- kerry4951ExplorerInstalled a Wave 3 heater. Also winterized TC so I can de-winterixe it in 2 weeks. Its such an easy RV to winterize and can do it with 1 gallon of pink.
- garryk6ExplorerLots of plumbing, electrical and insulation... Just posted pics to the Avion Rebuild THREAD.
Garry - sabconsultingExplorerSally finished painting the interior so last night I was able to screw all the curtain rails and brassware back to the walls, as well as refitting the edging strips around the roof hatches.
Steve. - RockyRoadCamperExplorerWarshed the truck camper today in prep for a run over to Mammoth Cave National Park.
- SALTYDOG5435S-TExplorerFinished cleaning it up from a weekend in Kingsville Texas. We went to a long distance casting tournament. Next weekend we will be in San Antonio at the Majestic to listen to our daughter sing. Then we will be getting it ready for our Black Friday camping trip to PINS. It sure is great being able to take your home with you.
- Silver_KnightExplorerRan the heater to break it in preparing for trip to Big Bend over Thanksgiving. Attempt number two at our maiden voyage!
- garryk6ExplorerInsulation, Plumbing more insulation, mounted sink, more insulation, more plumbing, mounted new charger/converter, more insulation, More plumbing. You get the picture. But at 24 outside, a little ceramic heater set less than half keeps the TC above 65 and closer to 70 pretty easily, even with lots of in and out the main door!
