- scubiemanExplorerYesterday i found why none of lights worked. I used a test light and a positi e feed, yes positive was going through the camper frame. I got it all fixed.
Today i vacuumed it out. Sealant some of roof and fans. I replaced 10 lights and housing on outside with new ones.
Total hours is 12 hours of work since yesterday - _DJ_1Explorer II

And I would love a reason to own a Bobcat!!!! Any houses for sale in Golden? - mountainkowboyExplorerWent out this morning to find the driver outside rear tire flat. :M I guess after the weekend I will be jacking the truck and camper up and taking the tire to the local shop to find the leak and fix it.

Hi James,
I'm curious why you removed the 50 watt panel. Why not keep both panels up on your roof for a total of 180 watts? Or did you need the roof space for something else?
Mike...
The 50 watt was a $399.00 Harbor Freight "get it here, get it now" mistake. Yes I needed the room and the $$. I'll be adding another, but it'll be another 135 watt panel for a total of 270. The wifie is much happier and that makes me happy. - btggraphixExplorer

This is the part of Colorado I do miss, out here on the road. It is still funny to me how some will park their TC's for the winter, when it is just another season to enjoy and explore! I hope all the work you did with your insulation project pays off this winter.
Merry Christmas, brian, and stay warm!

This year Santa sent me a box that I have a sneaking suspicion contains a nice high-end IR thermometer - so I am really looking forward to this weekend's camping trip (to my uncle's place in Black Forest) for playing around with it. My wife told me I didn't need it since I already have her to tell me where all the cold spots are :)
Merry Christmas to you too Bryan!dakonthemountain wrote:
Oye!!! that's a lot of snow in 18 hours!!! We had 36" one year in 24 hours and were stranded for 4 days. My driveway is 175' long, the snow thrower took a dive that year, my shoulder went south trying to shovel and the local guys were swamped! Needless to say we didn't get the camper out of the driveway that year for Thanksgiving! GREAT time to have a Bobcat!

The last couple of winter's haven't really brought any single giant dumps. And none compares to the year we had a single storm bring over 70".....but we happened to be in Florida at the time (and if you can believe it, the news in Florida showed pictures from right near our house listing 73" of snowfall.) My neighbors earned about 10 years worth of me plowing since they had to dig out all week and we got back afterwards. I bought the skidsteer for dual-purpose....summer landscaping stuff and winter plowing. One of the best things I've ever bought.noxinnhoj wrote:
Wow! thats some snow, and I am worried about my TC sitting outside under a cheap c.w. cover in the mild vancouver winter,,lol
I tend to stay out of the discussions on the topic of covers - we just use our camper too much to ever feel like covering it with one of those things. I'm sure the weather wears out the caulking and the white plastic things on the roof faster (especially at 8400") but I've had....I dunno.....certainly more than 3' of snow on the roof and not had any issues. A lot of people worry about a lot more wear and tear stuff than I care to. I do sometimes worry about the 3' tall by 18' long by 8' wide pile of snow blowing off the roof on the highway making a 'blizzard' for people behind me though..... - Mello_MikeExplorer

- RaftenExplorerNow that is a snow dump. In the mean time, CA has no snow so far. The Donner Party would have made it had they had this kind of year. This time last year we had over 200% of normal snow. That was the kind of year they had.
