- JoeChiOhkiExplorer IIOh, I forgot to add, drove my truck yesterday in to work to haul back a load of lumber for a project out at the RV Park. :)
- seraphimExplorerJeff it can get in anywhere, then run betwwen the inner and outer walls and collect at the low point, where it does the damage. Check everything that has a seal: window, vents, AC. The leak doesn't need to be right around the damage.
- JoeChiOhkiExplorer IIHit the wood with some Minwax wood hardener as well, it embeds epoxy resin into the wood fibers and makes them water proof.
If you know someone with an old squirrel cage blower from a furnace you can rig up a pressurization system to do a leak trace on your camper using soapy water. - Camper_Jeff___KNavigatorStill trying to figure where a persistant leak is penetrating from on the left rear corner of the TC. Removed the Left rear tail light assembly and removed the putty it was set in and am setting it in QUAD caulk. Also did more caulking in the near areas that could possibly be an entry point. I do have a little wood rot begining so I saturated the area with Wolman end cut preservative for treated lumber decking hoping that will if nothing else, slow down any advance of rot. The affected area is small and for the life of me, cannot figure where the water is getting in there from.
Jeff - umpquaExplorerDrove from Portland to San Francisco on Thursday/Friday. Attended a Bar Mitzvah and associated festivities. Drove back Sun/Mon. First trip of season.
- noxinnhojExplorerCleaned up the lance after our first(local)trip of the year.Weather was good, awesome weekend and best of all everything worked in the tc after a long wet winter. We saw a few t.c,s on our trip home on hwy 99 north, even passed a new northern lite on a brand new ford, they were really taking it easy on the throttle, new owners I think....better safe than sorry
- seraphimExplorerInstalled the Torklift tie downs on the new truck. Only a couple of hours, though I learned a few lessons on the first. Can't get a air powered tool onto the biggest bolt due to space limitations. Had to to tighten those two on the front by hand,
My muscles will be sore in the morning... - JumboJetExplorerOn my son's Lance 820 -
Fixed the oven pilot light on the Atwood oven. Was stopped up with a spider egg sack. Biscuits next trip out! - JumboJetExplorerBuilt a pass-thru window that the DW can operate from inside the truck as well as inside the camper. She can get through the 14x16 opening. Saves me from having to stop after she drinks her morning coffee.
The truck has an electric sliding window. If I need some peace and quiet............:) - Mello_MikeExplorerReplaced the Group-24 wet cells with two 6 volt Lifeline AGM batteries.
