- KidooExplorerInstalled some seals to block cold air entering the rear door, it will make a big difference especially when you have a back wind, there was quite a bit of air comming in.

Yes, well, with many feet of snow supposed to be on the ground it is the thing to do up here :B However, this year the snow is nearly a non issue :E - JoeChiOhkiExplorer II

Made a gawdawful mess when I opened up the motor for my Shurflo comfortbreeze. It had stopped running again, so I decided to see what was going on, inspect the carbon brushes and what not.
When I pulled it open, about three pounds of worn carbon brush dust poured out all over everything. It wouldn't have been so bad, if I could have gotten the motor unplugged, but as it was, I had to do it while the motor was still in place, so it rained down all over me, the table and the floor.
That stuff is not something you can simply vacuum up, either, it embeds itself and stains any surface, so it took alot of scrubbing to get it cleaned up and the socks I had on are likely a lost cause, but, the upside is the fan is working again, for how long, I have no clue, but it's work like it did before :).
Matt,
When you had it apart you should have added in a plug to the 12 VDC line to the motor. Then if you ever need to do it again you could just unplug it and take it outside to work on.
I'm not certain, but I believe there is some kind of attachment point/plug already on the unit, but I couldn't get a clear view of it from inside and it didn't want to wiggle loose, so rather than risk damaging the plug or the wires, I just left it and worked with it hanging down from the opening.
If it starts to have problems again, I'll at that point be contacting Shurflo for information to the motor replacement or information on how to remove the motor properly from the factory assembly without damaging the plug. - big_whiteyExplorer$pent $700 to replace bowed walls in my shower, repair door closure thingy so door would stay open, replace the co/lp detector and replaced led tailights with conventional bulbs as half the led's were burnt out. all this on a 2011 North*. sigh, whataya do when you have an obsession with this thing called camping.
- fatmanobxExplorerFinally installed my new CB in my truck for trips with others. I've had it for a year and thought it was about time to install with a trip back east with the TC next month. Not much to listening to them but I sure like to know what is going on when I come to a stand still on the interstate..Also if I see another TCer with a ant. ..
- Butch50ExplorerNot on the camper but it is on the truck that carries the camper. Installed Rancho 9000XL shocks and a Rancho steering stabilizer.
