So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?

Well, after recent happenings with a combination of my lack of planning for winter, and the vandalism on the truck, I assessed just how much work I will need to do before I camp next. Need to replace the dump valve and pipe for the black tank, the trap in the bathroom sink drain, and the drain valve for the fresh water tank... Never had this sort of problem before but I really blew it this year!! Unrelated, I'm also putting a new roof on it in March and switching it to a metal one. Then, the gas hose filler tube on the truck (think I have to drop the gas tank for that one!) GGRR!!!

I forgot to add;

I put in a toggle switch wired to the ignition wire of the radio so that the blue back light on the radio face will be off while still maintaining voltage so the clock and channel programs won't be lost. Think of the switch as you would turning on the ignition key; the radio will start up in the last position you left it when you turn the key off.

Replaced the puny fire extinguisher with one about 50% larger. Fits in the same holder on the wall.

Thought about Don so we made plans to head out for a 3 day trip next Saturday-Monday for a little fishing and hiking in central Calif. To that end I made use of the home dump station and flushed out both the grey and black tanks (filled and dumped the black tank with clean water twice) and topped off the fresh water tank.

Scraped off the factory Dicor that was peeling and resealed all the roof openings. Still need to mount the new Max Air vent covers and then going to wax and buff the entire camper.

Unloaded the S&S cause I needed the truck bed for hauling. Now we are in high winds mode......2 days now. I wanted to load the S&S back on the truck.... :(

Replaced the cheap plastic shower curtain for the wet bath with a nice fabric one that the wife made. Very nice mod for the bathroon.
