- finaddictExplorerMy Alpenlite had a large area to the right of the cabover bed that was empty. Most other campers have a cabinet in this space. It always seemed like a waste of space and I could use the cabinet.
These are the listings for the shelves

Next is the left wall.
Finally the face, door and then the shelving. The shelves are removable to allow access to the area below the bottom shelf.

Great idea.....you performed a simple fix to a complex problem. If I was you Id let Northwood know. - Mello_MikeExplorerDitched the old plastic shower curtain and replaced it with a nice fabric one the wife made. Much, much better!!

More pics of the wet bath an be found here: Wet Bath Pics - tellurideoutlawExplorerI found some water started to leak through the drivers side clearance light (2nd one in from the edge). I removed all 3 center lights and dried out the damp spot. I then covered the holes on the outside with 3 pieces of eternabond tape and had to leave it for a few weeks. 3 storms and 3+ feet of snow later, I went back to replace the lights with new ones and found none of the snowmelt had leaked in! It feels good to have found and repaired the source of the leak!
Replaced the 5 amber clearance lights on the nose of the camper with Maxxis LED's. two more ambers to do, then I will order 7 red ones for the rear. It takes a bit if elbow grease and naphtha to remove the old sealant! Wrapped them all in a fresh coat of Proflex. They look great! - Reddog1Explorer II

I do not have a paper shroud in my Bigfoot. I have always used a plastic coffee container. I like the looks of yours better. - Crazy_CreekExplorerI finally resolved the day one problem that my 2013 AF 865 had with the fresh water tank.
The tank is in the basement and is oriented north/south. The pickup is at the far north end. In addition to being located at the far north end, it is a top mounted pickup. If the tank was 1/3 full and the nose of the camper is even a bit nose high, the pickup could not reach the last 10+ gallons of water. This would shorten the amount of days we could dry camp.
The solution was to find the lowest point in the tank plumbing and T into it to supply the pump with water all the way until the tank was dry.
This low point happened to be located conveniently at the water drain inside the service door.
I just T'd into it and ran a 1/2 hose under the dinette and shower to the water pump.
I left the other connection in place, in the unlikely event that the nose will be so low that the bottom drain isn't the lowest point. I can still get at all the water in the tank.
I think this is design flaw on the 865 and I would not be surprised if other AF's and other manufacturers share this problem. That is....leaving lots of water in the tank that cannot be reached by wrongly placed pick up tubes.
