- JgwoodsExplorerTook the camper off the truck and landed it next to the garage- first time ever I'm so new at this. It took about 45 minutes running the Happijacs down, then watching to keep level and just squeaking by the legs with the dually fenders on the 2013 F350.
Now I am ready to take the truck for Load Lifter 5000 air bags and an Air Lift remote wireless compressor set up. Then it gets the Hellwig sway bar and I'll put the camper back on. - mooring_productExplorerSet the AC to 80 degrees to keep the humidity low in the camper. Washed the nose and now need to apply a coat of wax to it.
Need to clean the fridge again. Mold is forming in the shelves.. - d3500ramExplorer III
So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?
I broomed off another 10" of snow off the roof of the TC after snow-blowing the driveway. Uhg! Record low temps are predicted tonight. - clikrf8ExplorerYesterday and today we did a deep thorough cleaning after driving down very fine sandy backroads in Eastern Oregon. The sand permeated everywhere so we used the Fantastik fan to draw it out from the interior then wiped down and used a toothpick to clean out crevices. Toothpick worked well to clean outside the camper, too. We also took off the removable Polar window liners, washed all linens, wiped down pots and pans and aired out sleeping bags. Tomorrow, we clean the truck inside and out. can't you tell that it is sunny in the Pacific Northwest? Hubby sanded and oiled the wood cover for the stove and the 2 boards that cover the 2 sinks. Now, we need to plan for next 2 week outing in May.
- sleekcrafterExplorer IIFinished the rear fenders, and installed the rear alloys tonight, just need to install the wheel well liners, and run the lighting harness down the bedside. The weather got too cold and wet for me to productively function tonight. My wife snapped a few photos, of the before and after quarter fenders, just need to find the camera :)
- narcodogExplorer IILoaded ready to pull out first thing in the morning for the GSMNP.
- Butch50ExplorerAdded Flow Rite battery fillers. Now I can add water to the batteries without pulling them out. Turned on the propane and tested all the propane appliances to make sure they are working for the trip to Alaska.
- dakonthemountaiExplorerI fixed the cracked trap in the bathroom sink drain, replaced the entire drain assembly, then flushed out the water heater that I drained last fall and replaced the anode rod, pressurized the system and checked for leaks. None, I'm happy to report! Next is the leaky grey tank valve, then the new roof, 2 tires for the truck, an oil change, and I'm off for 2 weeks exploring the Southwest at the end of May! Can't wait!! :)
