Replaced my Coleman air conditioner with a low profile Dometic. Very nice to gain almost 3" in clearance.
Also changed out the light bulbs to LED and what a difference in energy consumption!
Sean - what size Coleman did you put in? We'd love to replace our 13.5 with a 9200 since we have not had any luck running the 13.5 on our little Honda EU2000i. Haven't tried the hard start kit yet but...
We changed our bulbs to LEDs a couple of years ago...love them :-)
I picked up a 11k used polar cub by Dometic whiched replaced my 13.5k Coleman. I haven't tried running it yet off my Honda but will probably in a couple of weeks. - James_ExplorerAdded a couple of medal cubicles to the closet for better handling of clothes. Quick, cheap and easy to do. Best of all... lite.

- Led_67ExplorerAlso think of this...With incandescent bulbs you have not only the leak factor which will lead to corrosion and socket failure as well as the potential for multiple leak points as well as a higher amp draw, LED lights are generally molded units that are one piece with less potential for water incursion thereby less failure potential, Incandescent vs. LED lumens is a clear winner with the LED being higher with less amps, Your alternater is already working hard enough with the stock configuration and then you put additional load on the vehicle so any advantage that you can gain will be a bonus. Just my 2 cents
- DomeExplorerI changed out all of the stock lights, the ones I got have the LEDs within a molded resin. No base or lens to leak.

the ones you have a chance to leak(they are two peace, base and lens). lenses crack and leak. check them out closely. mine were full of water and leaked back in to the camper. I replace all the running lights with solid molded LED lenses. no leaks going on now.
So you are saying you change out the whole assembly, not just the bulb. And that you do this because the assembly is sealed water tight and that stock lights, with a lens cover do leak. That's understandable. The OP and many others for that matter, say they change the light out, not the light fixture. That made it sound like the bulb was replaced with an LED bulb. Like the interior light upgrades to LED bulbs. Thanks for the clarification. - JumboJetExplorer

Exactly!
Repaired a Lance 820 last year that all the damage was caused by leaking clearance lights.
I bought 2 to replace the clearance lights on my Lance 1050S after seeing that mess! - DomeExplorerthe ones you have a chance to leak(they are two peace, base and lens). lenses crack and leak. check them out closely. mine were full of water and leaked back in to the camper. installed new LED clearance lighting. I'm strongly considering replacing the turn, tail, and back-up to LED now.
I've always wondered what is gained by swapping out the running lights on a camper. After all, they are only on when the truck is running so they don't drain the battery. I realize bulbs burn out, and that might be a good time to replace them; as they fail, but to just wholesale swap out the lights? Moomba2002 wrote:
