- bens170ExplorerLowered the Atwood jacks on my 1161 TC using the remote, that didn't work out so well. Went manual mode, removed Torklift basic turnbuckles, & cabover struts. The Atwood jacks would not move the camper up being fully extended. I guess because of the 6 inch lift I have on the truck. I have two or three options. Option 1: I have a friend who could make a 30 inch tall support stand for $500 USD (4) total. Option 2: Use the Camco 57371 Olympian Telescopic Jack (4) is designed to support 6,000 lbs, with a 7 inch plate on top centered over jack & under the jack pad. A base plate under the jack stand. Option 3 (just kidding) everything removed such as turnbuckles cabover struts, electrics unplugged. Jacks extended almost full length. Put truck in reverse step on gas, hit the brakes and hope for the best. Last resort. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Put 320w of Solar on the roof...thanks Mellow Mike for all of the help and your write-ups.
Before I saw your signature line, I knew that was the roof of an AF.
I put my solar in the same spot on my AF811. Well, I had AM Solar do it for me.

Thanks for putting up that pic...I had always had plans to squeeze some panels onto of the cab over since it seemed like a perfect spot. Your picture actually confirmed it for me, when I saw that pic on another forum it solidified my panel placement plan. - joeshmoeExplorer IIITry doing it for a living. Being a plumber, that is.
