- Hemi_JoelExplorerThe old Pyle stereo in my Arctic fox was shot, so I ordered a new Jensen JDC 2010 from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005XEHSTE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Today I installed it, and it is nice to have some tunes in the camper. The AM band was unusable because of a loud buzz, probably interference from the power converter. I did not test by unplugging the camper yet. The FM works great, and I used the AUX input jack to listen to Pandora internet Radio using my smart phone.
Thankfully, this new radio fit right into the existing opening, so installation was quick and easy.
I also installed LED bulbs in all the interior light fixtures. I got those from Amazon too. they only use less than 2 watts apiece, so I figured when I'm boondocking on battery power, they will be a benefit. They are nice and bright, and I like the color of the light, it looks very natural. - Buzzcut1Nomad IIStarted loading in the winter gear. Flannel sheets, down comforter, foam window & skylight covers, snow shoes and poles, ice tracks, boot gaiters, tire chains, snow shovel.

Winterized
Me too. Hated to do it, as I still hope to get out with it before cold winter weather sets in. But right now (2AM local time) it is a balmy 28 degrees F outside. So did it all this afternoon while relatively warmer. - exhaustipatedExplorerI picked up my camper from the repair shop last weekend after leaving it with them for a week. They stripped the rubber roof off and removed the decking under the roof. They also removed a ceiling panel in the bedroom area of the cab-over that sustained water damage and were able to perfectly match another ceiling panel. They put on a 7/16th inch plywood decking and covered it with a new rubber roof and sealed it with a different and better sealant than what was on the camper when it came out of the factory two years ago. I was really impressed with their work and hopefully wont experience anymore damage caused by a leaky roof. I'll have to get up there two or three times a year to thoroughly check it out to make sure. I also had them winterize the camper while it was in the shop.

- trailgranny50ExplorerFinished the last of the new curtains/window insulation and finally got Honda Generator locking plate mounted to generator and base plate on the new cargo tray our kids bought us. Took it to welder for "personalisation". We're adding steps to the side opposite the generator and a custom solid receiver bar. Thinking about how to mount the bite rack in that mess as well. Might need to pass on that, time will tell. Had to take time out to process my husband's deer. Muzzleloader season starts Saturday so imagine there'll be more of that next week. Can't wait for our trip time away from it all.
- SheepCampExplorerCleaned it out and prepped it for our camping trip to central Utah in a few days.
- Buzzcut1Nomad IIStocked up the fridge, added in some med gear, rain gear in preparation for working my last horse show EMT Standby weekend of 2014.
