- Wagonqueen_TrucExplorerDe winterizing it today... And loading her for a week trip to Florida. Minus 2 degrees today.
- dakonthemountaiExplorerI went inside and sat at the dinette for a while, then up on the bed for a bit... dreaming of the day when I will be able to take it out ... for the first time since I purchased it last August!! Life sure can get in the way sometimes!!! :(
Dak - put some water in the tank.
- Dewinterized it for a trip this weekend
- Installed the new batteries I bought a week or so ago.
Finished the charging line upgrade from truck to camper that I started at least 4 years ago. New thread coming soon. - ggadwaExplorerBillyRay,
Bought the AGM's from Hodgson Distributors. Delivered free to Battery Systems warehouse.
GARY - billyray50ExplorerHey Gary, Where did you end up buying the AGMs?
- ggadwaExplorerWell after additional research I chose the AGM's in 220 Amp and 6 volt version. Determined that supposedly AGM's recharge faster and they allow
discharge to below 50% which is the max you should discharge wet cells. They certainly cost more than wet cells, however again I don't have to fight to get the batteries out of the tight Eagle Cap 950 battery compartment 4 times a year to service them.....Installing them today.

Went outside and looked at it buried in the snow. Wanted to be sure the mice were happy and had enough to eat.......Next year I'm in AZ!
I'm sorry, but this just has me giggling.
Yeah, you Massachusetts folks have just been dumped on for snow. Wow! - _DJ_1Explorer II

The TROJAN T105'sare finally giving up the ghost after 5 years service. One seems to have a dead or dieing cell. The other seems fine right now. But I know you should not mix new and old batteries. Will be calling around today to try to find the best price for AGM's. Think I'll switch from a pair of 6 volt batteries in Series to a pair of 12 volt AGM batteries in Parallel. Anyone have any last minute pro's or con's for me on choices???

I just got home from Yuma!! Before I went I put in 2 new 12 volt Trojan 31s but I went with wet cell. Cheaper plus 30% more amp hours than AGM.
