hey Joe, are you rebuilding the kit? Would love to see some pics and a blog of the progress when you start.
Finishing the yard so I can free up funds to build the new body for my camper.
Yeah, doing a ground up rebuild/remodel, the old girl's frame has been damaged too many times and repairs are near wall-off projects, so I got a set of blue prints to make the mark 2 bigger and better, while keeping the classic look as much as possible (gonna likely mix the original aluminum with some filon).
The original KIT will supply alot of materials for the new KIT (keeping the badging and as much of the KIT look as possible, down to recycling the interior wall board, though on a far beefier frame.
The new camper will likely be at closer in weight to some of her successors than the original 2200lb camper she started out as due to things like going to a 2x lumber frame, instead of the 1x that she originallly was built with (and why she suffered frame failures in several spots).
I have a thread that was my starting spot for plotting out some other changes I am planning on trying to make, including building my own version of a snap n nap from the Amerigos/Kamp Kings for the rear, since she'll be reborn as a side entry unit.

The previous owner knelt on the table and cracked it; but told me she had "fixed it". Um yeah, duct-taping a splint to the underside isn't exactly a fix. I am centering the post mount on the underside - the old one was offset so a 3rd person could eat at the table, but then it blocked access to the kitchen. It will just be the 2 of us; my design will give me more room to work.
- wsdepaExplorerMy original equipment Sharp 15in. tv is finally dead after 10 years. As I was dewinterizing and testing everything, I found that several fuses were blown. The TV and the Stereo would not function even after replacing the main fuses. It was after I removed the stereo that I found a 15 amp mini fuse on the back of it blown. I replaced the fuse and the stereo is now working. I took the TV apart and found the three fuses on the mother board blown. After replacing them the video worked, but no audio. It was also analogue only and so it also required a digital converter to get the over the air TV stations. The solution was to pick up an Element 19 in. LED TV at Walmart for $ 99. It fit perfectly in the old space even with the letter box profile. I just bolted it on the mount and swapped the plugs. It has amazing picture and sound for the price and comes with a nice remote. I was able to tune 25 tv stations with it. It also has a USB port for slide shows.
The mount lets us watch it from the bed or the dinette. - BedlamModerator

I de-winterized the TC today. Things went well until I tried to fill the hot water tank. Water all over! See the picture of what happens when you don't winterize properly. I didn't pull the plug in the tank. It had over 5 gal. in it over the coldest February in Buffalo history.

Don't know what you use for photos, but not something I want to get involved with...

Have yet to get out and try them but these very sturdy 2 piece drive on levelers, level from 1/2" to four inches. They are spendy but sure look like they will outlast many sets Camco yellow LEGO blocks. Look forward to using them soon.
