- Photog101ExplorerI finally got a break in the weather and cleaned the roof and let it dry, then put the protectant on it. For some reason, this past year all my neighbors and I have a black dust that keeps falling on our RV's and it took me two days to get the roof cleaned enough to finish it. I also too the TV antenna portion off the satelite antenna and cleaned all the rust off of the metal pieces inside the dome. Now I have much better reception. BUT with on-air TV, I am going to have to modify it for an HD type antenna.
- Ski_Pro_3ExplorerGood job Buzz. My closest neighbor is over 600 feet away (over 2 football fields). Even if I had a cord that long, there would be a significant voltage drop along the wire. I suppose I could have back fed them through the transformer, but the lineman probably wouldn't appreciate that...
We did tell the neighbors we had AC running and to come on over. However, another neighbor has a swimmin' pool and the beer was still cold. Ha! - jimh406Explorer III

Thumbs up! - Buzzcut1Nomad III have an Onan 6500 that can run the house but I chose to power up all my neighbors refrigerators instead. None of the non RV owners have alternative power sources and most of my neighbors are elderly so I ran cords over fences and pulled out the fridges from the walls to get to the plugs for them. Took it all apart again when PGE got us back on the grid at 2200 hrs

power failure in my neighborhood and its over 100* so we are sitting in the TC, me the wife and the 3 dogs, with the Honda 2000 powering the Polar Cub 9200 AC. It has cooled the Lance to the high 70s from 100+ in about 20 minutes.
We lost our power too. Then we lost water about 8 or 9pm. A BIG break up along Logtown Ridge near Crystal Blvd.
I have a Honda EU6500 for the house and it ran my home AC fine. Converted it to propane even so I don't run out of gas.
I saw the water pressure dropping off as I was watering the lawn, so we filled up the camper with 30 gallons of fresh. Today at 10am we got a call that the water was now safe to drink again. Without the 30 gallons in the camper, we would have been dry, no flushing, no shower, etc. - Buzzcut1Nomad IIpower failure in my neighborhood and its over 100* so we are sitting in the TC, me the wife and the 3 dogs, with the Honda 2000 powering the Polar Cub 9200 AC. I flushed my water tank.
I spent four weeks fly fishing in the Catskill's around Roscoe and got my water from the State Park near by. I never used my water filter and when I got home I noticed that there was sediment in the toilet bowl. On the last fill-up I used a different faucet which was in all likelihood not used very often.
From now on I'll use the filter no matter where I get my water.
heck I use an inline filter even when I fill up at home...
I do to because I'm on a well. - RbertalottoExplorerWhat is a good inline filter to use.......sounds like it is good insurance
